Justice Adeniyi Ademola failed to show up in court
Punch reports that the defendants were absent because they had not been served with the charges.
Lead prosecuting counsel Segun Jegede said told the court that when bail bailiffs attempted to serve the couple with the charges they were said to have travelled to Lagos.
However, the defendants’ lawyer, Jeph Njikonye has volunteered to accept service on behalf of his clients.
Punch reports that Jegede urged the court to grant leave to serve the defendants through their lawyer on the strength of section 382(5) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act.
Njikonye, while ready to accept service on behalf of his clients, however, said he was unaware of earlier attempts to serve the couple personally.
The trial judge Justice Jude Okeke said in his ruling that record showed that a court bailiff attempted to serve the defendants in Abuja, on December 2, but were said to have travelled to Lagos.
Justice Okeke therefore adjourned the matter till Tuesday, December 13, 2016.
Recall that Justice Ademola was one of the federal high court judges arrested by operativesof the Department of State Service (DSS) after a raid of their homes some months back.
He was charged to court by the DSS and there are reports of more judges among those arrested being arraigned soon.see How I Increased my Manhod Size & Stopped Premature Ejaculation That almost Scattered My Relationship.. Click HERE For Details.
